Bubbling Down Under

Dear Bubbling Down Under friends,

It is with a heavy heart that we share the news of Nathan's passing. Sadly he lost his battle with cancer and passed away peacefully in August.

It was Nathan's wish that we keep Bubbling Down Under online for others to enjoy.

His love of music will live on in our hearts 💗

Take care,
Nathan's family xx

  2. I'm SO devastated to hear this news. I'd changed emails with Nathan and you could tell he was a pure soul with a passion for music. I'll say a prayer for him, he's at peace now.

  3. Seriously sad news. This guy had a real talent for finding obscure tracks etc. He'll be sorely missed. I'd be interested in buying all the stuff he'd put effort into acquiring. If the estate/executor would contact me, I'd be much obliged.

  4. Nathan was the person who helped me the most with my chart projects. I will forever cherish the emails we exchanged during that time. My sincere condolences to his entire family, who helped him so much during this time.

    Nathan, R.I.P.

  6. Really sad to hear of Nathan's passing. I've been watching his vids on his ohnoitsnathan channel for years & seeing his comments on chartbeat, Gavin Scott's music blog. RIP mate

  7. Hello Again,

I never met Nathan. I exchanged comments with him only once. I am in awe of his chart knowledge. He appeared every bit as passionate as Molly Meldrum. I imagine he had quite the library to go with it. Nathan is someone I would certainly have bonded with as a teenager. No one I knew was as interested in chart and music shows as I was. Nathan could run circles around me. If only. It's a pity the blog has to end here, with us all united in gratitude and a little bit in suspense. I hope he spent his final days listening and remembering all the great music. Many the chart archives on the other side welcome its newest devotee. Thanks again Nathan.

  8. I hate to be like everyone else and would like to say i knew Nathan well but we were not close. We exchanged regular emails and would share chart histories which he would eventually share here with everyone else. We would talk about interesting things we'd found and we had a few long email conversations but never met. He had a passion about music i wish i had. Far as i know there is no replacement for this blog. Nathan certainly never asked me, and i had offered to help him out when on occasions he had stuff to catch up on but he always declined. It's been a while now since his passing and while i say above that we weren't close i'd be lying if i said i don't miss having him around.

  9. R.I.P. Nathan Mate! I always personally favoured the para-doxa - we are ravin' and the few others you personally looked for me! I still enjoy them too this day and have always spoke wonders about you, your energetic personality and passion for preserving his vhs amazing collection for the world to experienceand enjoy... and not hording and gatekeeping them for elite collectors eyes only! Definitely one of a kind that truely gave back to the universe! I remember the first time I spoke to him, the first words he said to me when i mentioned i was from the uk, he was thrilled to announce to he's a proud ozzie! Thank you Nathan for all the fun, experiences and happiness you made everyone feel and all the hard work you did! Whoever and whatever happened to your collection... I really do hope it goes to someone amazing just like you who will share it with the world to be safely saved from extinsion, just like you would have wanted! We will miss you nathan! Thank you! With love from Rich Rave (03stevensmi) ;)

  10. I love rage and collect music videos like Nathan did. He helped me out with some videos I was after and I helped him out with rage aria top 50 countdowns. We shared an interest that was unique. I was late finding out about his passing. I'm really sad to hear he passed away. Life can be really unfair. His uploads on You Tube will live on, people will continue to benefit from his efforts.

  12. RIP Nathan. While I never met him personally, for a while there we were both commenting on Gavin Scott's chart blog and that's how I got to know him. He always had an interesting fact to share, and as we were the same age, our heyday of music listening was the same. He asked me to design the background and title graphics for this blog. He had told me about his health issues and what he was going through, and I am very sorry for his loss. I extend my condolences to his family.
